What can I list on Rentby?
You can list a wide variety of items on Rentby, including trailers, lawn care equipment, agricultural tools, camping gear, and more. Items must be in good working condition and comply with our terms of use.
Do my items always have to be available?
No, you have full control over your availability. You can set specific dates and times when your equipment is available for rent and update your schedule as needed.
How do payments work on Rentby?
Payments are securely processed through our platform. Lenders may ask for a deposit or full payment upfront when booking an item, and Lenders receive the payment (minus fees).
What happens if my items get damaged?
In the event of damage, we recommend communicating with renters through the platform to resolve the issue amicably and use Rentby’s damages tool to settle any costs.
How do I create a listing on Rentby?
Creating a listing is easy! Simply sign up for a Rentby account, go to My Account and click “My Listings”, and provide details like item description, photos, availability, and pricing. You can edit or remove your listing anytime.
Do I need to verify my identity to use Rentby?
While you don’t have to verify your identity, it is highly encouraged and there are perks like priority placement of your listings and access to featured listing tools.
Can I set my own rental price?
Yes, you have complete control over your rental pricing. Rentby provides the tools for daily or hourly pricing, and you can also offer discounts for longer rental periods if desired.
What are Rentby's fees?
Rentby charges a 17.5% service fee on each transaction, which covers platform maintenance, secure payment processing, and customer support. Exact fees and taxes are outlined during the booking process and depend on the rental price.
